Editor’s note: Simone Biles made her third Olympic squad, highlighting the U.S. Olympic women's gymnastics team for the Paris Games.
Artistic gymnastics has been one of the most popular Olympic sports since its introduction at the games in 1896. It requires strength, agility, coordination, precision and will be a must-watch event at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
While gymnastics is a team sport, it's the individual competitors who truly captivate us. Each gymnast, male or female, brings their unique skills and style to the gender-specific events, making every routine a personal expression of their dedication and talent. Men showcase their prowess in floor exercises, pommel horses, rings, vaults, parallel bars, and horizontal bars, while women demonstrate their artistry in vault, uneven bars, balance beam, and floor exercises.
The U.S. Olympic team trials started Thursday and run through Sunday in Minneapolis, with Simone Biles aiming to secure a spot on Team USA. Biles is widely regarded as one of the greatest gymnasts of all time, holding the record for the most decorated gymnast in history, with seven Olympic gold medals to her name.
The U.S. Olympic team trials began Thursday, June 30, and run through Sunday, July 3, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Five men and five women will qualify for Team USA to compete in Paris.
