What is a good brand of space heater? Vent-less. I have an old Dearborn, but they are now out of business. I use them to heat the house most of the time. At night, I use the central heat. I find this method much more efficient.
Thanks,

I have to be honest, whenever I see harbor freight I go the other way, unless it is for one time use tools. I have seen too many recall notices hung on their walls for me to put much trust in their appliances.
Has anyone used TSC's Mr. Heater brand? I checked Lowes and they don't seem to carry space heater anymore.

I would never buy something like that from HF. Most everything they sell is junk.

Well, that Pro-Com heater at HF is the same brand as sold by
Northern Tool (and I'm pretty sure I've seen the same heater at
Lowe's too) so if you think a cheap ventless heater would work for
you, get it wherever you can get the best price...

I bought a ProCom from Farm King several years ago, and it works great and has saved our bacon three or four times now when power went off for several days during sub-zero weather here in the Middle West.
I liked this one in particular because it looks like an old-style heater (which fit our decorating scheme well).

Our primary heat is a King wood heater.
Doubles as a cook stove, had many a Thanksgiving Dinner pretty much completely cooked on it.
Although we do have a gas cook stove, and a gas water heater.
No power problems with any of those.
Generator will run most everything (except for heat pump, rarely ever used), including the well pump in power outages.
